Clean and comfortable rooms with nice balconies. The front desk staff was a mix of helpful and argumentative, especially when issues arose. Breakfast had potential but fell short; the hot options didn't match the enticing pictures and the fruit was disappointing. Great location for walking to attractions, but the elevators being out of service was a hassle, particularly for our family needs. Some minor inconveniences like cold water issues and room mix-ups colored the experience, but the scenic views and pleasant staff were redeeming. Would consider returning with some better communication.

We stayed for five nights and the cleanliness was awful—no housekeeping at all. The floors were never vacuumed, and fresh towels were just left on the toilet. It felt like they didn’t care about our comfort at all.

The noise level was low, ensuring a peaceful night’s sleep. The roll-in disability access shower was adequate, though not exceptional. Housekeeping was delayed until the evening, impacting our stay. The pool area was a nice touch. While parts of the hotel need updates, the friendly staff made the experience enjoyable.

The room was super clean and the beds were oh-so-comfy! Enjoying my coffee on the balcony with a mountain view was the perfect way to start my day. Plus, the breakfast spread was amazing—I'm talking waffles, grits, and endless coffee! ☕️

The hotel is just at the top of the strip, making it so easy to walk to all the main attractions like the Gatlinburg SkyLift Park and Ole Smoky Tennessee Moonshine, plus we even got to enjoy the fireworks and drone show right from our balcony which was amazing, and there are plenty of dining options nearby for every taste. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and there was ample parking available but the hotel could use some upgrades in terms of decor and amenities.

One of the positives was the presence of ironing facilities in the room, which was convenient for us as we had some clothes that needed a quick touch-up. On the downside, however, the heating in our room took quite a while to heat up, which was a bit frustrating after a long day out in the cold. The air conditioning unit in the room was working, but it was quite noisy, making it a bit challenging to sleep soundly. The sitting area was comfortable, but the furniture looked a bit dated and basic, lacking a cozy, modern touch. As for the free toiletries provided, they were a nice addition, but the selection was minimal and not particularly high quality. We appreciated having an alarm clock in the room, but the outdated am/fm alarm clock was a bit tricky to set up. The flat-screen TV was a decent size, but the carpeted floor had seen better days, with noticeable wear and tear in some areas. Housekeeping was inconsistent during our stay. While clean towels were provided, the room wasn't vacuumed regularly, and the tub was quite slick, requiring caution when showering to avoid slipping. our experience at Black Bear had its ups and downs, with some amenities and services falling short of expectations.

The new event in town is Autumn Adventures, great for family spooky fun. The entire trail is a fantastic hike, offering stunning views. The convenient location at the hotel is just one thing to love!

Carpeting needs replacing, and some updates are overdue. The bathroom water had a temperament of its own—cold for far too long. Dust collected under furniture was concerning. A little attention to detail could elevate this place significantly. Still, given the competition, it’s a solid choice if you prioritize location and comfort over frills. Consider it a stepping stone, not a destination.

The hotel's location was fantastic, right in the heart of town. The staff was top-notch, going above and beyond to accommodate us when our AC acted up. We were moved to a nicer room without any hassle. Plus, the comfortable bed ensured a good night's sleep.
Some rooms felt a bit outdated and cramped. The cleanliness wasn't up to par in certain areas, with dirty carpets and maintenance issues like loose bathroom lights.

i had a comfortable stay at black bear inn & suites. the one bedroom suite was spacious with a cozy king bed. the breakfast offered a wide variety of options and the location was great, providing easy access to smoky mountain national park and nearby attractions. the staff was friendly and accommodating, and free parking was a plus.

Families appreciate Gatlinburg's fun activities like Ripley's Aquarium for marine life adventures, Fannie Farkle's for arcade fun, mini golf for friendly competition, and thrilling go, kart tracks for adrenaline.
My wife says that the bathroom layout could be more family, friendly.

Me and my crew had a blast exploring the wildflowers and learning about critters on the guided walks. The local artisans at the Easter Show blew our minds with their skills and creativity. Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies was lit! Plus, all those go, kart tracks got our adrenaline pumping , we were running on pure energy!
To amp up the fun for us party, goers, we wished for an on, site dance floor or a chill hangout spot with some sick beats! .

the location is really convenient - close to the strip and not too crowded. the breakfast was good - especially the omelet station. the city view from the room was awesome. the staff were nice - especially the breakfast attendants.

I chose Black Bear Inn & Suites for its convenient location near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and was pleasantly surprised by the professional staff of event coordinators and offsite “Award-Winning Chef's Catering,” which made my special occasion run smoothly. The home to an amazing Seafood Bar with a variety of delicious options and the downstairs lounge with delectable food were also highlights of my stay.

The room smelled like wet doggie when we checked in, but the staff were super nice and helped us upgrade to a beautiful room for a small additional fee. The location was great, within walking distance to restaurants and shops. Overall I'll recommend this hotel.
